Wolf Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 It would be nice to see official support for Universal Second Factor (HW Security keys) as a 2FA option. aia and rodege5389 2
Rhett Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 There was a third party item for this a while back, it died I think, google authenticator has pretty much taken over the top spot and is fully supported.
Wolf Posted March 12, 2019 Author Posted March 12, 2019 Just now, Rhett said: There was a third party item for this a while back, it died I think, google authenticator has pretty much taken over the top spot and is fully supported. U2F is more secure, and is supported by the security paranoid (such as myself)... I use it on my Google account too. rodege5389 1

aia Posted August 27, 2020 Posted August 27, 2020 (edited) +1 vote for the suggestion to support U2F in the IPS core. It is supported in all modern browsers now. https://caniuse.com/#search=U2F Also, U2F is widely adopted and supported by companies and governments. It's already implemented in Amazon, Google, Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft, GitHub, GitLab, Dropbox, and many other internet giants. U2F is much more convenient to use compared to all currently supported 2FA methods. Edited August 27, 2020 by Mr 13 rodege5389 1
