Thanks for quick help, as I will be doing this on the live site so appreciate if you can also guide me what will happen if I click on the star on Pages?

Will it give me an option to choose which page to use as homepage or should I rename page as Index or some other action is needed...?

For Pages you will also have to go to your pages list in the ACP and pick a default page. This will then be your new front page once you make Pages the default app.

Keep in mind though: if you remove Forums as the the default app, all(!) forum URLs will change, since the forums app will now get an URL slug /forums/.

I just recently changed my homepage from forums to pages since setting up a page is made simple with your product superblocks. Question, are previous urls without the "forums" after added in the url 301 redirected after making pages default homepage?

Thanks for the heads-up, can you please check if in my case it will change any URL as we already using the custom name for root (brand) forums?

Just want to say that being a car guy I went to your website and was immediately discouraged. The Pop Up acts like a 10 second delay to every page. After visiting 2 pages I had it.

Now I understood what you were trying to say after making the switch: It added /forums before /forum, making the URL change and longer

Anyways to stop this change and let it be like before:

We have over 500 forums and worried about losing the ranks, serp or traffic with this unplanned URL change.
