Interferon Posted August 20, 2018 Share Posted August 20, 2018 I have found that PayPal does not work as a payment gateway when an item with renewal terms is selected. If the option "Pay renewal costs automatically" is checked, this error is shown when I press the "Place Order and Pay" button: There was an error processing the payment. Please try a different payment method or contact us for assistance. If the option "Pay renewal costs automatically" is not checked everything works as expected. opentype Posted September 14, 2018 Share Posted September 14, 2018 It’s a generic “something went wrong” error. There is no single cause for it and so also no single “workaround”. Double-check your settings, both in the ACP as well as your PayPal developer account. Again, automatic renewals won’t work for everyone. You need to have access to that feature.
