Orioni Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 After unsuccessfully researching on Google, the Admin CP and Marketplace, I'm turning to the community for potential problem-solving. This is a question about data portability. I am faced with one member wishing to leave the community. They request a copy of all their content. I would like to help with this. While the Admin CP allows me to "Download personal information", this does not include any actual content. Is there another way to export content on an individual account level?
opentype Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 There is no option to do that. I don’t know what apps you have. Retrieving the user’s forum posts via phpMyAdmin is fairly easy, but if you have lots of apps and want to include images as well, it gets pretty complex to retrieve all data. I would probably ask the user what he intends to do with those information. While the EU privacy regulations require portability, it is still debatable what that would include. What’s the point of forum posts ripped from the original content for example?
Joel R Posted August 12, 2018 Posted August 12, 2018 As opentype suggested, you can contact your server administrator to run database queries for every content type (status updates, PM, forum posts, gallery albums, gallery images, download files, etc.) Other than that, there's no provided method to export content.
