I did some searching for marketplace refunds and I'm not having much luck finding any useful information. Who do I contact and where about getting a refund for a plugin/application purchase from the Invision Marketplace? I purchased a plugin quite some time ago and several attempts to contact the developer later, I haven't received a single response, even after leaving a poor review on the plugin itself stating the lack of support. The plugin has never worked for me regardless of my many attempts, and is now not needed due to some of the recent updates to the core Invision application. Apologies in advance to the staff member who moves this if it's in the wrong spot. Thanks!
Stuart Silvester Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 Please submit a support ticket in the client area. - https://www.invisioncommunity.com/clientarea/ It is typically up to the developer to request a refund be sent to a customer, however if the developer isn't responding submitting a ticket is the best course of action. Wa may not be able to provide you with a refund but we can certainly look into it.
LiquidFractal Posted August 9, 2018 Posted August 9, 2018 If you're looking for a refund from a third-party developer, unfortunately you're almost certainly out of luck. I don't know of any developers who give refunds if their app doesn't happen to work on your site; it's just a risk you take when you invest in addons for your site. Invision also (understandably) doesn't take any responsibility for any apps purchased in the Marketplace in terms of compatibility with your existing suite. Importantly, the more third-party apps and plugins you have on your site, the higher the statistical risk that some are going to conflict with each other. And yes, unfortunately there are some developers here who don't understand the meaning of "support." Thankfully, there are glowing exceptions to that as well. ?
