sadams101 Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 I just got this today from Google's Webmaster tools. Any idea how to fix this issue?: Quote Incorrect hreflang implementation on https://www.celiac.com/ To: Webmaster of https://www.celiac.com/, Google has detected that some pages on your site have implemented the rel-alternate-hreflang tag incorrectly. In particular, there seems to be a problem with incorrect language and region codes, or incorrect bi-directional linking (if page A links with hreflang to page B, there must be a link back from B to A as well). Google uses the hreflang attributes to serve the correct language or regional URL to the right users in search results. Until you correct the errors on the hreflang links, your website will not benefit from additional language or region targeting. PS - and the link they give as an example is a broken link, so perhaps this is a non-issue? https://www.celiac.com/categories/Celiac--Disease--Research..--Associated--Diseases--and--Disorders/Cancer.....--Lymphoma--and--Celiac--Disease-c-3345
bfarber Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 I don't see any hreflang implemented in the source on the destination page you are redirected to, so yeah I'm guessing they're looking at an older page that isn't relevant.
