Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Pupper Puppet Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Morning all, I just moved my forums from one server to another. Other elements of the site transferred without a problem and display just fine, and the Invision ACP works perfectly in the new location. When trying to load the front end, however, I get the following error: The error logs from the times of attempted access are as follows: [Thu Sep 14 05:53:24.007579 2017] [ssl:warn] [pid 3163] AH01909: localhost:443:0 server certificate does NOT include an ID which matches the server name [Thu Sep 14 05:53:24.008654 2017] [ssl:warn] [pid 3163] AH01909: www.example.com:443:0 server certificate does NOT include an ID which matches the server name [Thu Sep 14 05:53:24.008877 2017] [suexec:notice] [pid 3163] AH01232: suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec) [Thu Sep 14 05:53:24.048889 2017] [auth_digest:notice] [pid 3164] AH01757: generating secret for digest authentication ... Well, actually, all of this is beyond me. Any help you can offer will be greatly appreciated, as my forums are dead in the water at the moment. Thanks! -Dev
Pupper Puppet Posted September 14, 2017 Author Posted September 14, 2017 Hello and thanks for this! I did as you recommended, and the error persists. -Dev

When I try to generate a new one (I use Let's Encrypt), it tells me it can't execute the request because the challenge for my domain is invalid.

Maybe try running your site under http and see if that works? If it does, then you know it's the certificate.

Then you're definitely asking the wrong guy. I have leaned on IPS and my hosts so many times... That error sounds like a server issue at this point. Are you sure you updated your conf_global.php file? You need to set $INFO['board_url'] to your current URL, changing https to http. Have you talked with your host?
Pupper Puppet Posted October 1, 2017 Author Posted October 1, 2017 Returning with a late update in case anyone is interested: the issue was with mySQL versions. The new server was running the latest stable release, while the old server was on a previous version. We updated the old server, pulled the databases again, and everything imported smoothly.
