Google map embed - does it work?

Recommended Posts

I can't google map to embed on my sites. I have checked my setup, and before I continue even more investigation I need to know. Does it work on your sites running 4.1.19.?

When i paste a link like:

https://www.google.no/maps/dir/Oslo/Trondheim/@61.6463306,8.088392,7z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x46416e61f267f039:0x7e92605fd3231e9a!2m2!1d10.7522454!2d59.9138688!1m5!1m1!1s0x466d319747037e53:0xbf7c8288f3cf3d4!2m2!1d10.3950528!2d63.4305149!3e0?hl=no

It just shows an error -  The Google Maps API server rejected your request. Invalid request. Invalid 'center' parameter.

I have the exact same error, I noticed it was fine here, so I just shrugged and decided to wait for 4.2 instead of raising ticket. I cannot find a way to whitelist URL outside of enterprise plans...

Thanks - then it's not only my sites then... What is the connection between that error and whitelist/blacklist..? Where do I check if my sites are blacklisted?

No idea, to me it looks like the embed does not include the 'center' parameter for some reason.

As for the whitelist issue, it was raised by @Daniel F. Speaking for myself, this is not the problem on my site, because I have a custom Pages page with google map and all my geotagged pictures as markers and it works fine.
