HTTPS and mixed content warnings

I have searched but can't quite find the right answer. I have already changed under global_config my site to "HTTPS". When enabling HTTPS on your site I have noticed that on older posts with images I will get the mixed content warning in my browser. The rest of the site is fine under HTTPS. Is there anyway to make the older images push out under HTTPS? I thought under the ACP when you enable REMOTE IMAGES>SERVE IMAGES FROM LOCAL SERVER that this would download the images and then push it back out under the site locally so you wouldn't get the mixed content warning. Then after the 7 days if no one views the images it would delete itself until someone views the image again then it would gab it again. Or does this work only on images posted AFTER you enable the setting? Basically is there anyway to get the mixed content to go away?

Unfortunately, yes.

So basically on older posts no way to get rid of mixed content warning then? Xenforo had a similar image proxy function that would work the way I had listed above and thought IPB would work the same.

If you edit an old post, it will update it correctly, but that doesn’t work for thousands of posts of course.

There was a marketplace plugin which would update older posts. I couldn’t find it anymore. Not sure if is still there and working for the latest releases.

I hope IPS improves this function to also include older post.

And also don't use proxy if https version exist like on photobucket ++ that does support https.

Have tried the SSLproxy app from the marked place but it does stop after 49% of the topics are rebuild and looks like the developer is not supporting it any longer for new versions.
