Profile Information, Profile Fields

For some reason I am really struggling with this simple concept, what is the difference between profile information, and profile fields?

Profile Information sounds like a category. Whereas Profile Fields are the individual questions for it like "What is your Gender?", "Location",  etc..

Thanks Jim, where does Profile Information show up at the users profile page, and same with profile information, where does is show up at the users page?

It shows up in your profile. 

"Profile information" is a default profile field group that is shipped with IPS. Profile field groups cannot be customized by your members.

Profile fields refer to the individual fields of information that users can fill in.

I'm not exactly sure how the IPS Marketplace one works, that could be a plugin of some sort that comes with IP.Downloads. I haven't checked.
