How to block bots?

I have 95 Guests browsing my forum right now and almost all the IP's come back to Chinese bots. How do I block it?

It's showing 5 pages with this 180 IP and stats show 140 guests...

in .htaccess add the ip to deny .. e.g.

<Directory /var/www/forum/>
Order allow,deny
Deny from 180.76.15
</Directory>

the directory path need to change to the area you want to cover
