Default registration group???

I can't find the setting in 4.1, I know it's somewhere but I've looked at my registration settings and I can't find it.

People are joining my site with permissions they shouldn't have.

Is this what you mean?

Members-> Groups-> Member ->Edit (picture of pencil) -to select/ deselect options

or Members-> Groups-> Member ->Permissions (picture of lock) - Allows which forums they can interact with.
