Sidebar in calendar

Hi,

in Calendar (in 4.1) I can't have a sidebar – is that right or I don't find the correct setting only?

This is correct. Only above and below widget areas are allowed

Obviously this is still the same in 4.2.

Could a sidebar block be made possible please as the calendar itself seems to take up so much space, most of our events are weekend only and it just seems a waste when other interesting content could be brought into the same page.
