Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
SmackDaddy70 Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 In version 4, is there a way to show the "guests" that are actually spiders as their "Spiderbot names" (google, yahoo, etc) rather than just "guest"? Thank you in advance.
Mike Gholson Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Same here, would like to show google and other search bots on the site as well as guest quantity..
MADMAN32395 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 I thought if you enabled show spiders it'll do this? I have mine hidden because its cluttery. And I just use their webadmin tools.

MADMAN32395 Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 hmm. looking around I cant seem to find it on 4.x... they have have removed it... imo that's a good thing. Just visit the search provider and use their webadmin tool to check for issues and scanning.. works better anyway. previous way looked tacky... why would a guest care if there was a search bot currently on. Webadmin should use tools instead of using the currently online list. This isn't 1998 anymore.
m@t Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 at IPS4 it does not work anymore, a mod about it would be nice
WP V0RT3X Posted October 30, 2019 Posted October 30, 2019 Needed this function too and all I found on Google was this one http://ipbskins.ru/forum/files/file/332-siv41-search-bots-online/ Seems to work on first look, but has hardcoded russian language in it. Why is it not availiable here? Hope that site is legit, if not pls remove the link.
