不中用 Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Does the include for Font Awesome in IPB 4.x pull from a local resource or from their CDN?.If I check the CSS then it looks like it is from local ..applications/core/interface/font/fontawesome-webfont .
SJ77 Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Should be from CDN!yes then as new stuff gets added to the set we will automatically have them included. However, maybe IPB will include font awesome updates as part of their upgrade distributions.
SJ77 Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 After thinking a bit, Shouldn't this load from a CDN every time? Larger sites will really benefit from this.
opentype Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 After thinking a bit, Shouldn't this load from a CDN every time? Larger sites will really benefit from this.Sure, but admins of larger sites choose their own CDN and set this up themselves. I actually don’t like that stock software makes all sorts of calls to all sorts of external sites if it’s not absolutely necessary.

sobrenome Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 But if it comes from the Font Awesome CDN it may be already cached when the user visited another website.
