Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
AutoItScript Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 If I create a page (by default there was one called articles.html) how do I give it a friendly name instead of "?app=cms&module=pages&controller=page&path=articles.html"? The links on this site for Documentation and Bug Tracker have urls like /4docs. If I add a custom FURL for "?app=cms&module=pages&controller=page&path=articles.html" the FURL works but goes back to the long version after the page opens. The Docs and Bug Tracker on here stay with the FURL so there must be a way to do it?
opentype Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 Normally, you would just choose the FURL in the page settings. You don’t have to mess with the advanced settings for that.
AutoItScript Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 I can't get it to work. I tried to use /Articles and /articles.html but neither is found.Page Name: ArticlesPage filename: articles.html
AutoItScript Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 So this is what I've tried. My community is under /forum so:ACPPages->Pages->Add PageSelect Page Builder and click NextEnter "Test Page" for Page Name, enter "test-page" for filenameClick SaveAccept default permissionsTry to access via /forum/test-page/ with no success. Am I missing something? Maybe a bug because my site is in a subfolder?
AutoItScript Posted April 28, 2015 Author Posted April 28, 2015 I uninstalled Pages. Reinstalled it and it works now....
