Pages: How to add a FURL to a page?

Featured Replies

Posted

If I create a page (by default there was one called articles.html) how do I give it a friendly name instead of "?app=cms&module=pages&controller=page&path=articles.html"?  The links on this site for Documentation and Bug Tracker have urls like /4docs.  If I add a custom FURL for "?app=cms&module=pages&controller=page&path=articles.html" the FURL works but goes back to the long version after the page opens.  The Docs and Bug Tracker on here stay with the FURL so there must be a way to do it?

Normally, you would just choose the FURL in the page settings. You don’t have to mess with the advanced settings for that.

I can't get it to work. I tried to use /Articles and /articles.html but neither is found.

Page Name: Articles

Page filename: articles.html

So this is what I've tried.  My community is under /forum so:

  1. ACP
  2. Pages->Pages->Add Page
  3. Select Page Builder and click Next
  4. Enter "Test Page" for Page Name, enter "test-page" for filename
  5. Click Save
  6. Accept default permissions

Try to access via /forum/test-page/ with no success.

Am I missing something? Maybe a bug because my site is in a subfolder?

I uninstalled Pages. Reinstalled it and it works now....
