Using chat on Android phone

When I view my forum on my android phone, it correctly switches to the mobile skin.

If you click on the menu button there is a link to the chat facility and this opens the chat room. However, when I select the edit box the keyboard screen flashes up for a split second then goes again so it is impossible to post anything. Should chat work on Android or is this a browser/version issue?

(If I select 'full version' it does switch to the normal skin and chat does work but isn't very friendly to use on a small screen. )

This appears to be an issue specific to certain Android phones. I've not found any way to reproduce the issue or what causes it, and most of our employees with android phones cannot reproduce it, making it all the more difficult.

I actually think it's more of a browser specific issue. I switched to Opera Mobile because Dolphin was so slow and don't have this issue anymore, but when I was on Dolphin I had this issue.

For info, I'm using a Motorola Defy. I use Dolphin so that could be the issue, but I did just try it with the default browser but had the same issue.

I did test Dolphin on the iPhone but couldn't reproduce it there. Ian tested Dolphin on Android (as well as the default browser) and couldn't reproduce the issue.
