Bernabe Guerra Jr. Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Not to much of a big deal after you clarifying how it automatically adjusts when a page is opened..might not be needed! Works great.. Ben so if you manually resized your browser window, the notice width would stay the same. that because it only reads the size on initialization. Hmmmm let me think of a way to fix that.
Telemacus2 Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 A very interesting mod indeed! So, how heavy on resources is this?
Enkidu Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 Please help..as I really love this feature. Ben please give me some time in order to develop and test things thoroughly. I also, like everybody else, have a job that I need to keep  otherwise my boss would kick my ass
Enkidu Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 A very interesting mod indeed! So, how heavy on resources is this? notices are cached so there are no DB queries...only time to query the database is one you update, add, toggle, or delete a notice. In addition, we don't compress or go nuts with foreach loops or if-elses...so I would say it's lighter than xF's implementation :)
Benny. Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Another suggestions, display when user is at: ( when there's a lot of forums in the list, the page can be rather long, id suggest a hide feature so can be toggled out of the way so you can reach content easier) --- also addition of other areas of IPS products , ie content , chat, gallery ps for people thinking of getting this, even at this early stage this mod has many usable potentials and will only get better
Enkidu Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 the next version will have tabs (just like xF) so it will look better. There is another advantage for buying now which is getting the mod at a cheaper price. The price will go higher as more features are added ;)
Tariq Hashim Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 You have brilliant ideas no doubt, who needs jquery if you can add this in your forum, how about adding arrows as suggested and adding transition effects when will expect the new version?
Enkidu Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 for feature-rich release, about 1-2-3 weeks, for bug fix release, maybe 2 days :)
Clancy Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I love it, Thanks! I have one suggestion. I'd like to see an option to have it show if the member has yet to post. There used to be a great mod for this at vBulletin and having a message encouraging new members to post really worked well. Thanks again, Clancy

KittyCanuck Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 $4.69 has to be the oddest price I've seen in the Marketplace. Sold! ^_^

Tariq Hashim Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I take sometime to calculate the price of my mods  I think based on British Pound  , , oh man just 5 bucks would have been ok :baby:
Enkidu Posted October 26, 2011 Author Posted October 26, 2011 updated! * added pause on mouse hover so people can read the content of the notice * fixed alignment issue with really really wide monitors. * fixed ckeditor coded entity showing up on ACP notice view (surprise surprise) urgency of upgrade = low .... so no need to go all panky and ditch your girlfriend in order to upgrade. Those of you whom I fixed their board, I don't really think you need to upgrade :) .... If you just want the hover thingie, then simply upload the public directory to your forum.forum root directory.
bosss Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Thanks for your help Enkidu and great support! regards bosss
danbo Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Great plugin, I have been waiting for something like this (was ready to write it myself, but have so little time). Keep up the great work and I look forward to its growth.
andret Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 When I install and enable this plugin, I get "Fatal error: Call to a member function enkiduNoticesTemplate() on a non-object in (insert random hookfile) on line 58" Any idea what I can do to fix it? Thanks :)
Forsaken75 Posted October 26, 2011 Posted October 26, 2011 Ok first off, what amazing modification!! Secondly i give up, can you tell me the code you used on the number 5 notice on your board. I have been trying to get the image separate to the left and text to the right and well i just keep failing. Im sure it is not rough but my brain seems to be having thinking issues for some reason... :(
