2dub Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Does this post their anniversary dates to the calendar?
Legion of Honor Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 I'm looking to change the Today's forum Anniversaries to Today's Anniversaries. I cannot find where to do this in the ACP skins n Templates>the huge drop down list. I could use a little help please :D thx, Jim
Michael Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 What are you trying to change, the text? If so, that's done on the Manage Languages page.
Legion of Honor Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Yes, on the forums, it says Today's forum Anniveraries, I would like it to say Today's Anniversaries. Ah ha, I found it, thank you for pointing me in the right direction. Jim
loetie Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 When enabling this hook, I get a white page on my forum. I tried to recache everything and rebuild master skin data and nothing works. If I disable the hook everything works fine again.
Michael Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 You can follow the steps in this tutorial to find what PHP error is causing white pages: http://invisionfocus.com/tutorials/article/149-blankwhite-pages/ It's most likely a missing skin template, meaning something happened in the installation which failed to install everything properly.
loetie Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Hmm, this is strange, I had added thisini_set('display_errors',1);[/CODE] to the inidata file and when I enabled this hook again a bunch of errors were displaying like this in the acp: Warning: file_put_contents(/home/admin/*******/hooks/hook_newTopics_54fd67d22b59b0579eb34e977c56fbfe.php) [function.file-put-contents]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/admin/*******/admin/applications/core/modules_admin/applications/hooks.php on line 2192 And the strange thing is that when I went to my site again, no white page anymore and the members anniversary's were showing on the board. Ps: any idea what that error I mentioned abote means ? I know its probably a bit off topic but there where more errors like that.
Michael Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 That error means the issue wasn't necessarily related to this hook, it's some other hook (something called "hook_newTopics") that either has a missing file or permissions issue. I'd recommend looking at what hooks you have installed, seeing if any of them sound similar to this name, and try re-installing them. Or you could try disabling all hooks and re-enabling them one-by-one until you find the one that triggers this error again.
steve922 Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 Michael, I was wondering if you could answer this for me? When there are no anniversaries to display, it says "No members have are celebrating an anniversary today." I'd like to fix that so it makes sense. I found the line on the manage languages page but when I try to edit and save, it gives me a system error and says "Can not translate protected language pack" Any suggestions?
miro912 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Installed and have the test user changed the timestamp on today. On the index page, it shows the user but there was no pn on although in the acp is on. Where there could be the fault?
Mister Java Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Thanks so much for this mod, Michael! A quick question... is there any reason why BB code wouldn't work in the anniversary message (running latest version of this hook and IPB)? I have it set to send an email for a reminder, and when I added a couple of links and formatting (url, b, twitter), it sends out the email without parsing the bbcode. So, the actual [url ] tags are in the actual content of the message I've tried using both the RTE and the plain text editor without success. Any idea what could be causing it?

connorhawke Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 The 'Member Anniversaries' hook is going crazy. It's listing every member on my site as having their 43rd anniversary today, and sending out reminder emails to all of them. As soon as I found out, I disabled the hook and turned off email reminders (including the system scheduler task), but several minutes later the emails still seem to be sending out. What do I do to stop the emails?
connorhawke Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Is no one else having this issue on IPB 3.4.1? I never made any modifications to the hook.
Amy Shelton Posted January 31, 2013 Posted January 31, 2013 Is it possible to add a line of code to the xml file that will sort the list of users by date of last forum activity instead of by the date they joined the forum? Or even better, to display only those last forum activity was within the past 365 days?
JTrollerb123 Posted February 16, 2013 Posted February 16, 2013 How can I prevent members from certain groups, such as my unsubscribed group, from receiving these anniversary emails? I have someone in my unsubscribed group who complained about still receiving this message. Thanks,
cofee_iv Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 I recently upgraded my board. The Anniversaries do not show now, either on the board, itself, or in the admin. I can search admin and find it, so I know it still exists. How can I make it show up at the board?
