JahLion Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Sorry I couldn't help on this occasion, if you need help with it again in the future just let me know :) No Problem thanks
.Ian Posted October 12, 2010 Posted October 12, 2010 Try moving the hook down towards the bottom of the list of hooks. In the past I have found hooks work only if they come before or after other hooks. I have mine towards the bottom of the list for example.
dutchkiwi2009 Posted October 13, 2010 Posted October 13, 2010 I cannot for the life of me figure out where I need to change the settings for this mod?
Alan Posted October 13, 2010 Author Posted October 13, 2010 I cannot for the life of me figure out where I need to change the settings for this mod? There aren't any settings, install it and it starts adding automatic topic descriptions (for new topics), uninstall it and it stops :)
JahLion Posted October 17, 2010 Posted October 17, 2010 Sorry I couldn't help on this occasion, if you need help with it again in the future just let me know :) The curprit is this hook "(e$30) ibEconomy Points Per Post" that's why it not working before ... <_<

FoenixS Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 Great mod, thanks :) Is there a way to create the description for all existing topics ? It could be a good thinks for making all topics clean with a description.

Due to the size of some forums it probably won't be an integrated part of this mod but a separate addon in the ACP that runs through the topics table adding descriptions as it goes. I'll try and come up with something next week :)
Ocean West Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 Alan will this mod, retro active (for all topics) prior to installation? Or only set descriptions from install forward? Thanks
Alan Posted November 30, 2010 Author Posted November 30, 2010 It only sets descriptions for new topics created after you install the mod. Writing a tool to retro-actively set descriptions on existing topics is on my todo list though :)
Jason H Posted December 13, 2010 Posted December 13, 2010 Found a forum where this was installed, and post preview no longer worked when this hook was enabled.
Michael Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Found a forum where this was installed, and post preview no longer worked when this hook was enabled. Yep, I can confirm this. When you write up a new topic and hit the Preview Post button, you get redirected back to a URL like this:http://www.site.com/index.php?showtopic= You may need to redo this hook as a data hook instead, using the postFirstPost option. From there you should be able to get the content of the post, query for the info about the topic that post is in, see if it has a topic description, and set one if it doesn't.
Michael Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 File has been removed at the request of the author until a suitable fix can be created.
