Collin1000 Posted May 31, 2010 Posted May 31, 2010 Due to user demand, a "quick fix" for anyone experiencing the Fatal Error Firefox bug has been posted. http://iarcademod.com/community/index.php?/topic/160-fatal-error-quick-fix/
Collin1000 Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 If you are running IPB 3.1 - Please let us know if you notice any issues with iArcade RC2. We're doing our best to test everything, but it looks like we are go-ahead for iArcade 1.0 Final in the next few days!
THE RED DRAGON Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 We are running 3.1 and the issue we have seen so far - when you go to submit a score it redirects the user to our forum index
Collin1000 Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 We are running 3.1 and the issue we have seen so far - when you go to submit a score it redirects the user to our forum index Did you make the index.php edit?
Andy Rixon Posted June 2, 2010 Author Posted June 2, 2010 Check and double check that the index.php edit is there and correct. Just to let people know, we are going to be doing extensive testing over the next few days for 1.0.0 FINAL to see if it works fine on 3.1... watch this space!
jeremy1975 Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 I have successfully installed iarcade r2. But when I click on the arcade icon on my message board, I get: [#2] Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available. I am logged in as admin when I do this. I have given write permissions to the 2 folders specified earlier. Any idea what my error is here?

jeremy1975 Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Have you given your groups permission to use the arcade? Do I do this in Member Groups - Manage User Groups? I am not seeing iArcade option there.
.Ian Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Do I do this in Member Groups - Manage User Groups? I am not seeing iArcade option there. should be there, yes.
jeremy1975 Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 should be there, yes. Do I need to create the new group? Or should it already be listed there along with Administrators Banned Guests Members Moderators Validating
Andy Rixon Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 AdminCP -> My Apps -> iArcade System -> General Settings -> and the group permissions should be there.
jeremy1975 Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 AdminCP -> My Apps -> iArcade System -> General Settings -> and the group permissions should be there. They are there and Admins, Banned, Guests, Mods, etc, they can all use it. Two questions: 1. Why would I be getting a [#2] Sorry, but you do not have permission to use this feature. If you are not logged in, you may do so using the form below if available. while logged in as admin, when admins have permissions here? and 2. I am not seeing where to edit the group permissions. It lists them here: AdminCP -> My Apps -> iArcade System -> General Settings -> but I am not seeing where to edit this list.
Andy Rixon Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 You don't need to edit the list, just select the groups you want to access the arcade and click on save settings, its as simple as that.

Thank you very much, that did the trick. I never thought to ctrl-highlight each and then save. I was looking for an edit button that isn't there. :)
Andy Rixon Posted June 3, 2010 Author Posted June 3, 2010 Your welcome. That is ok, it seems your new anyway :D

No issue encountered so far but only the upgrade to 3.1 itself but I manage to get IPB 3.1 up and running! There was only minor issue but it was already there in 3.0.5 was that firefox uploading not working giving me error but I forgot where to read how to fix it.

Wolfie Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I thought that with v3.1, it would be possible to do the scores without editing index.php? Or was that not properly implemented by IPS?
Collin1000 Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 I thought that with v3.1, it would be possible to do the scores without editing index.php? Or was that not properly implemented by IPS? We arent making a 3.1 specific version. Lots of people still use 3.0, so iArcade 1.0 will support both. iArcade 1.1 will support the new features of 3.1, many of which I am very excited about, such as notifications.
Mat Barrie Posted June 5, 2010 Posted June 5, 2010 We're also still not 100% sure that there's any hook type that will allow us to do a truly editless approach yet. My original attempts were all based on overloading a component that will probably be loaded when an app can't be found (board index initially), however it's still impossible for us to handle v32 wth no edit. We requested that IPS add a new hook type that we could use (sort of a pre-init hook that runs before ipsController::run()) and indications are that this will be available in a future version, but until then...
