Posted May 11, 200718 yr Is there a need to set up The "Licensed to: Company" at the bottom of a board which is below the copyright. Does it make the board look more professional, or does it protect against something, or what? I'm just wondering if I should use it on my board to show who it's licensed to. But if it doesn't do anything besides place text at the bottom, I might not want to use it.
May 11, 200718 yr All that the "Licensed To:" section does is puts the Licensed To text down there at the bottom of the board under the copyright. Your key is generated into your download and IPS goes off that to look up to see if your board is legit, so the Licensed To section has nothing to do with showing if it's legit.
May 11, 200718 yr It isn't need i think and you can set up in the ADMIN CPTOOLS&SETTINGSIPB License SettingsDisplay registered to line? YESShow as licensed to...Examples: Matthew Mecham, IPS, Inc.
May 11, 200718 yr There's no need to display it if you don't wish to - as long as you have your board URL set correctly in your client area then your board will show as licensed to us should we ever need to check :)
May 11, 200718 yr As an FYI, I'd recommend setting up an IPS Beyond account if you haven't already done so, and posting questions such as this on IPS Beyond in the future. :)http://www.ipsbeyond.com/forumsYou set up the account on the home page of your client area. This forum is intended more-so for company and product feedback than questions about how to use (or configure) the existing product itself. :)
May 12, 200718 yr Ok sorry. I do have an account with IPS beyond. I'll post questions there for now on. Thanks for the responses though.
