Hi, I have a free copy off invison power board v1.3, this is very old and does not come close to what the newest version have. So ive been thinking about regestering my forum in order to get updates etc. But i was just wondering if, when i purchase the subscription, invision will upgrade my forum with the included price of rgistration or will i have to pay extra for them to upgarde it for me? The upgrade would be included in the price of your license, yes - as will any future major version updates as long as you have a current support contract :)

The IPS techs will gladly upgrade your board for you... no extra price/charge. :)

Thanks, so would that mean that they could upgarde from version 1.3 to 2.2, and that would be included in the licence payment?

Yup they will upgrade your forum COMPLETLY free as long as you get a subscription though.... they do it around 5 days atleast that is what said on the main page.

Sorry, you can't. 1.3 was the free version of IPB. It has since gone to a commercial product - so in order to use the latest/greatest release, you must have already purchased IPB or purchase it now. :D

All your posts, users, topics, forums will carry over to your forum when your upgrade the forum :) IPS Staff will be more then happy to help you.

You purchase the latest version of IP.Board;

You would then upload the new version and upgrade from 1.3 :) You'd keep all your original data
