`Scotty`
Well I think it would be cool if IPS made an Apple widget and it would have links, and the latest news on it. I think it would be cool cause im on a mac now :s
Quillz
Perhaps you could explain your idea with a little more depth. What benefit would this serve? Would the widget allow posting in topics? It could be a useful idea if it actually allowed for full browsing on the board w/o having to open a web browser.
.KX
So you're basically asking them to make a web browser? :lol:It would be good if it showed the latest topics and posts, recent PMs and the on-line list. maybe a couple of other things? Who knows.
RaDiOAcTiVe
so its like making a little member-bar widget right there on your desktop. one of those might be useful for windows as well (even though i would damn windows to the bloody bowels of hell and its creator as well). But it sounds like a good idea for IPS enthusiasts. Maybe a client center access thingy could be added that allows you to access features of the client center. Sounds good to me! Mat Barrie
Indeed. Does anyone here have DesktopX Pro? (It actually allows you to make widget type things and compile them into EXE files)
.KX
No, I want that program but I don't want to pay for it...
Mat Barrie
Then you wont be getting it anytime soon. I really don't think they'll be giving it away free anytime soon. Well, rather, ever.
Cybertimber2009
A widget like system is included in Windows Vista, as well as Opera if you use it. If not I'm not making you try it.
Strange_Will
I'd be willing to write something up. But I'm not familiar with OSX, let alone able to program widgets. Otherwise I totally would! :oIs it an easy thing to program (widget)?

Strange_Will
that would be awsome make it look like the my assistant on IPB and give it feed to news and all that jazz. Now that would be really easy, I could just tie it to an unseen component couldn't I? So I'd code the page in a component back end, and the widget goes and gets it... I'm thinking.
