Profile Portal Question

In the profile portal your able to view a users topics, replies..etc, I was wondering about a few things.

1. If you don't have Gallery and Blog installed will the tabs for it not show up?

2. Is there an option in the ACP to add different sections or is it hard-coded?

Thanks!

If the component is not enabled, the tab won't show up

You can create plugins easily by dropping two files into the components_public/profile/ folder ( a .cfg file and a .php file - developers should quickly be able to pick up on the format). No file code changes necessary.

Very nice indeed.

Useful in fact.  To all the staff and developers on this

I did notice this css error on one profile. The area of question is circled.

Profile Preview

Also would like to see when clicking on Insert Image, a browse 'My Computer' button be there for easy navigation and such.

This was error found using IE6

I have seen a few css errors similar...but all minor...

but Elemental Crisis, excelent questions. I was wondering the samethings.

And that is sooo impressive, create plugins for more tabs...wow... I'm going to have alot of fun with that ^_^

Thank you bfarber for replying, good luck in the upcoming weeks with the releases!

Awesome, sounds very cool. :)

Something else that just came to me.

Its great you can view topics and replies for any user by checking their profile but what if you wanted to read more of a certain topic or see what the response to a reply was? Could the thread link be displayed the topics and replies so you could easily click on them instead of having to search through the forum for that topic?

Of course I already know the workaround and thats by clicking on their name and selecting "Find Member's Posts" but I just thought it would be nice to have the thread link shown in the profile.

In the box where it has the date the post/topic was made, there is a 'Read Topic' link.

love the sound of a pluggin system for the profile tabs :D.

Hope the IPB portal can have this feature too.
