Misi Posted November 18, 2010 Posted November 18, 2010 Any plans for this feature for IP.board 3.2? :) Still tossing.
GamingHorror Posted November 30, 2010 Posted November 30, 2010 I just lost two posts, each taking 10-15 minutes to compose, because of a computer crash. So I was looking if I can find my posts in a draft folder somewhere. Apparantly not, so I also vote for autosave/draft! A "Save" button would help but only if implemented in a way that does not reload the entire page.
Johnasc Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 I have users requesting this feature too. So +1 vote for it from me.

Richard.C Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 could just click back in ckeditor and view the autosaved content *coughs*because of a computer crash there's no back button if your PC crashes ;)
Dmacleo Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 no need for it  meant back as in next time forum opened not as in back button. restart pc open forum click ckeditor and stuff is there for me. got a few posts here in the presales forum where I started to reply and stopped. still have the view autosaved msg there LOL this does not negate desire/need (I am huge fan of having this actually, smf had good one) for a draft setup, only for that one issue mentioned.
Richard.C Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 Ahh, I see. I do think most people would not think to do that, much easier just to click on your IPB 'saved drafts' folder ;) Rich
Dmacleo Posted December 19, 2011 Posted December 19, 2011 yeah I like draft setup, but in a pc crash unless mod is actively saving live (huge overhead) not sure that would help. its great for longer posts where you get interrupted or need to get references for stuff. when I had it I used it often. wonder if existing autosave could be leveraged here. I don't know enough about it (hell..it or many other things :) ) to know though.
