Mat-Moo Posted September 8, 2005 Share Posted September 8, 2005 Just as an idea, how about a feature where users (maybe usergroup controlled) can create a notification to be sent to them when a topic is started which contains certain keywords. E.G. if I'm interested in reading about threads that are to do with my motherboard or if I'm looking for a certain item for sale. When a thread is started (not follow ups, maybe optional?) then I would get an email stating that a thread X has been started with my keyword(s) XXX in it? Smeg Posted September 10, 2005 Share Posted September 10, 2005 A good idea, but think of it this way... Lets say 20 members sign up to be notified of 3 different keywords. thats 60 keywords in total. So everytime a member posts a new topic, or post for that matter the board has to check it for 60 keywords.
