  1. Thanks. Now I just have to wait for the three days to expire so the incorrect subscriptions clear. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ Other than my dumb mistake, the app is working great!
  2. Right. Thank you. and the APIKEY is from the "REST API Key" created in Step 11, correct? same for both bounces and complaints? or am I missing a step? Sorry to be so dense, but maybe asking helps others πŸ™‚
  3. Hello, noob questions... I set everything up and it sends perfectly. When setting up subscriptions in SNS to get bounces and complaints, I still have "Pending confirmation"... how long should this take? Also, for the "?key=APIKEY" added to the end of the endpoint URL for the subscription, APIKEY is literal, not the actual API key, correct?
  4. Additional info: The only other marketplace app I’m running is Email Address Confirmation. No custom (non-marketplace) apps.
  5. No. Not familiar with it. Should I be?😁 Edit: looked it up… I’m not (yet) using a 3rd party mail app, but well on my way to setting up AWS SES.
  6. Oh well, the issue has resurfaced @HeadStand I’m getting 2,500 - 3,000 email errors each time Newsletters tries to run. The process hangs up like @AlexWebsites issue above. Also, my email error log has gotten over 30GB, causing other problems with the site. I’ve had to disable Newsletters until I can resolve the problem, and nw my members aren’t happy. They like their Newsletters! Running Invision Community 4.7.5, and using Invision Community in the Cloud to send emails. Newsletters v2.4.6.2 (Note: the badge now says β€œCustom” instead of β€œMarketplace” could that be related to my problem? I thought of moving email distribution over to AWS SES, but I’m not a developer so the initial learning curve is steep. I’m working on it but want to be sure of what I’m doing before I make the change.
  7. It seems to have been working normally since doing this, so obviously it was something I did… 🀣
  8. The Invision cloud servers. I deleted the app, reinstalled it, and recreated everything using the default templates. I’m going to let it run tonight and see if I still have the issue.
  9. Yes, just colors tho…
  10. No other 3rd party apps are running on the site, so if there’s a conflict, it’s with the core of Invision Community v4.7.4.
  11. Bump. Any resolution on this issue? I’ve had to disable Newsletters until it is resolved and tested.
  12. Ditto... Life goes on and my Newsletter goes out, but the next update will be most welcome! :-)
  13. Esther, I have been successfully using Newsletters for several weeks now. Last week I added a second β€œWeekly” digest in addition to my daily digest. I published and enabled it Thursday or Friday of last week and immediately began receiving reports of members getting multiple copies of the newsletter, in some cases 30-40 per day. This weekend I disabled the Weekly Digest hoping to stop the multiple copies issue, but it continues. I contacted Invision support for help in stopping the batch process, but they said the issue is Newsletters and I needed to contact you for assistance. I am getting the following error message: Locked Task: queue One of the routine maintenance tasks which run in the background has failed several times, which may indicate a configuration issue. Application/Plugin System Task queue Runs background queue tasks. Last Run 6 hours ago You should check the logs for any indication of the issue or attempt to run it manually. If the task does not run successfully and you require further assistance, please contact support. Please help! Let me know if you need ACP access. Scotty Hutto
  14. @opentype Sorry to be so dense, but can you tell me where to find this switch? I've searched but can't find it on my ACP...
  15. Thanks Joel R. I purchased and added that plugin and it has worked well.
  16. No worries. Thanks for letting me know. Cheers! Scotty
  17. Back again. Newsletter is running well! My members love it. Currently it appears by default posts are sorted in chronological order; either newest to oldest or oldest to newest. Is it possible to sort by heading, or to group all posts on a topic (thread) together? The only complaints I’ve gotten have been that it’s difficult to follow a topic on a day when we have 40-50 posts. Thanks, Scotty
  18. Nevermind, I figured it out. 1. Hit "Publish" again and it went to "Enabled" and distributed automatically this morning. πŸ™‚ 2. Had the Cutoff Days set to "0" (which apparently means forever). Changed that to "1" and now I'm only getting content submitted that day. Scotty
  19. Hello, Installed and configured Newsletters. I'm looking forward to playing with the template and getting it looking like I want. πŸ˜‰ I've set it up to send all new content on a daily basis, which is what my members have asked for. I'm having two issues: 1. I must've set a switch wrong somewhere, as it does not run automatically every day. I have to go in and click "Publish" to generate a newsletter. Any ideas what I may have done wrong? I notice on the Newsletters control panel it has a red icon saying "disabled". Is that a clue to what I've messed up? 2. Although I set it for new content, on Forums where there is no new content it's listing old content (same things day after day). Any suggestions on how to fix this? I'd prefer it say "No new content" or leave that section blank or omit it if there is no new content. Thanks, Scotty
  20. Thanks for letting me know. It's frustrating for a few of my members to have to access the site daily to find if any new topics are posted - they are used to receiving something in their inbox when something new is posted. The "resistant" group is mainly older folks, and change is hard. πŸ™‚ Most of our younger members prefer accessing the site as opposed to receiving emails. I was just trying to make both groups happy. Maybe in some future release, and "opt-in all" or alternatively, "Opt out" default feature could be added. Just a thought.
  21. Thanks. I've done exactly that and applied the changes to both existing and new users, but it still doesn't follow a new topic under a Discussion someone is already following. Maybe a scenario will help... Existing user(1) is following the Forum -> Motorhome Discussions and is currently following all topics under that discussion. A different user(2) adds a new topic under "Motorhome Discussions", for example "Polishing your motorhome". The existing user(1) doesn't automatically follow "Polishing your motorhome" unless they go to that topic and click follow. The behavior I would like is that if they are following the parent (Motorhome Discussions) and a new topic (Polishing) is added under that parent, all users following the parent topic automatically follow "Polishing" (new child topics). Does that make sense?
  22. Hello, I run a community where many of the users are used to getting email updates (think of an old ListServ, or Yahoo Groups). Most love the new community, but I have several asking if there is a way to set the default for following Forums, Discussions, etc. to ALL. They currently have to go in each topic and click "Follow", and if they miss one they don't receive all of the communications they are expecting. Thanks for helping out this old Noob...
