  1. Yes, instead of that now I get this

The API Key for your map service is empty. Please correct this in your ACP.

But what I wrote above I can't get it. When I generate that key I am redirected to login page although I am logged IN!

  2. You do not have permission to view the member map

Why? Need I that "API" key? I can't get it. I sign in but everytime when I generate code I HAVE TO sign in again and again. Sometimes I really hate google.

  3. I don't know if this was suggested but feature for untranslated strings in Manage Language section would be very usefull.

Now I am translating new Blog, there are 32 pages and I have to click on every page to find two untranslated strings. We have filter for Out of Date Entries, we could have filter for Untranslated Entries. Very appreciated.

  4. I'm still not entirely sure why there is a need for a banned members group as well as this new banned member status. It's all very confusing.

Yes, you're right, it's confusing. When Spammer is banned via moderators menu you cannot see if he/she is really banned, that account is still in Members group. Only in ACP you can see that account is banned. But not on board.
  5. Another suggestion:

    Spam User

Now when is someone marked as Spam User, there are possibilities:

    • Do nothing
    • Disable Post/PM permission
    • Disable Post/PM and unapprove posts
    • Unapprove posts, empty profile and ban account

Well, there could be another option (move to specified group). Although last option (... ban account) is good possibility but I want to exclude those users from Members group. When I send bulk mail to Members I don't want to send mail to Spammers. They are banned but still in Members group.
  6. Reputation needs some improvements.

    First:

Members A can not gives more than X (X for example 3) plus or minus reputation points to the member B.

    For example:

Member A likes Members B and gives him/her plus for EVERY post.

Member C hates Members D and gives him/her minus for EVERY post.

Solution: Members A can gives 3 points (for 3 different posts) to Members B but then he/she must gives points to X (X for example 2) other members.

    Second:

Exclude or include categories where Reputation can be used. For example I need to exclude Test category. Every post which was send to this category should be reputated. It's silly.

Please include these two features to 3.0.5

Lot of my members sent me those two suggestions.

  7. Hi,

I see that http://www.ibskin.com/forums have now apparently been hacked.

This follows another third party site for IPB which was hacked about 3 weeks ago.

Is IP.Board safe if these sites are being hacked?

< I will ask my other question via a ticket, just in case it is a backdoor >

    Thanks.

Probably security hole in custom skin. I am not sure.
  8. If you visit forum page where you don't have an access you will get an error message. That's right. But in title should be name of topic/category nevertheless. Not only "Board message". This makes lot of duplicate content. Google doesn't like it and me too.

For example. My Shoutbox is not accessed by guests. They get an error message. But in title should be " Our board's Chat Room" and not only "Board message". It's ugly.

  9. Maybe suggested, but...

I think I am not alone who want to have more information about new registrations via email notifications. This was suggested already for 2.2.x I think...

    Now we get:

    Hello,

You have received this email because a new user has registered!

anonym completed their registration on 26 June 2009 - 03:14 PM

You can turn off user notification in the Admin Control Panel

    Have a super day!

but this would be much more better:

    Hello,

You have received this email because a new user has registered!

anonym completed their registration on 26 June 2009 - 03:14 PM

    His/her email addres is anonym@server.tld

    His/her IP is 11.222.222.222

You can turn off user notification in the Admin Control Panel

    Have a super day!

  10. Hm I don't know what is wrong, but it works only when I want to protect files in uploads directory I have to put htaccess there (to uploads directory).
If I put that htaccess file to root directory it doesn't work.

OK please move this topic somewhere other.
