  3. I've now been able to disable all plugins and applications 3rd party and the error still occurs. Any thoughts @Marc Stridgen @Daniel F? Many thanks in advance.

  5. Brief update - I got a user to check after disabling all 3rd party applications and its still happened to him.

I can try for sure @Adriano Faria but I suppose i'm just conscious that it may not be that and don't want to knock the whole site offline. @Daniel F I asked the user and that error came from when they selected Show All Notifications, so I don't believe thats root cause of the notifications loading. I'm waiting on a user thats having the issue to just have 2 minutes of time to see if its one of the Applications causing it. Its definitely not plugins as we checked that this morning.

  8. The user clicked show all and he got this @Adriano Faria @Marc Stridgen - Tournaments is disabled though as its incompatible and therefore disabled in Applications. Didn't think that would cause an issue?
  9. This seems to say: More users seem to be reporting it now so looks like this issue. No idea what GameQ is though! We haven't got any apps with that name as far as i'm aware.
  10. Members are reporting that the notifications aren't loading for some users. Screenshot below of a user on the default theme so it doesn't seem to be theme related. This was on iPhone Safari browser but another user explained that it is doing the same thing on an Android Chrome browser. Weirdly, its working for me on my desktop and mobile. Only AdminCP thing done recently was upgrade to 4.7.3. I've also cleared System Caches and that doesn't fix their issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  11. And thanks for an interesting topic to think and discuss! I look at it as meaningful conversations and thoughts (like this one) happen on the website/forums. Discord and WhatsApp is there for instant messaging - a little talk but ultimately grabbing people's attention, for online stuff to do in the moment (we're gaming like most others connected to Discord). You can use the app to merge accounts, but I've chosen not to - thats about your effort to benefit ratio. I focus on pushing content from the website to other channels of choice that they use to remind them where the conversations and other fun things are at. Interacting a little in Discord which is enough to keep engaged and then asking them to get involved in website stuff. I look at our members as the website is the home, so you visit it like you go and see your Mum and Dad 😄 For some thats daily, others not so much! 😅 So they chat with their immediate family in the channel they choose, or house if you want to keep with the same analogy. I chat with my wife and kids in my house, or in this case, WhatsApp/Discord - but I get calls from my Mum (website/Forum) about stuff and then i engage/interact in that discussion. I could probably change us to some super hungry user all about members, but I care about an engaging one, so members buy into this thinking and philosophy. I gain members slower but lose less over time. Thats I think the best way to manage a community, or in my thinking, family. Sorry if my analogy got weird in that response...just easier to convey how I think which may resonate with you....or not! 😄
  12. Its a hard balance to work out what's best. Overall though, as IPS has moved away from a fully fledged App, you have to find a way to embrace the community on all levels. I use @SoftwareFactory's Discord 3d party application and get push notifications set up to channels across discord to remind people to see new topics, posts, polls, videos, events, etc. They have then have the choice. Some still won't and ultimately, thats okay if you want to keep the entire community. If you force people, it only antagonises the crowd and they step away from it all. My 2p after embracing all channels of choice, is that its okay still to say all of the following: Our Website (or Forum) is the Main Hub/Home for all members Discord can live alongside it without the use of forums functionality as its not very good imo (switch it off in the settings) An App for IPS is definitely still worthwhile/needed seeing how users have evolved
  13. I love the idea and concept. Some badges need it, whereas I'd argue in some cases I would have them stay on their profile. When you earn a badge like 100 likes, for me, that should stay on your profile showing you've finally earned that badge, and then you work upwards to earn the whole set. When you have badges for things like subscriptions where they can move up a tier, this concept works really well. If you're preparing new badges and want them to work in sync with all the rest, then I suggest the best way is to create a larger phase of badges and then rebuild the achievements database. Don't get me wrong, I really don't like the idea of clicking rebuild for the system to recalculate everything to re-award for the badges again, but it its the only way to do it properly. If you explain whats happening beforehand, members should understand. I'm hoping they can create the job to recalculate for just new or selected rules soon as thats the way for this system to work correctly and more iteratively.

To note for IPS though, I've been uploading files like this for a while for some events so its strange that its started happening like this. For now, I'll try and remember to rename the files without this in the name. Much appreciated @Randy Calvert 🙌
  15. I'm getting numerous events not loading their image on Overview, yet they are loading on their individual page. It doesn't seem to be a file format or size issue as other pictures that are larger in file size load correctly. Can someone help please as the overview doesn't load the image which makes the event look unprofessional and uninviting. Thanks in advance. On event shows picture:

  17. Thought I'd put this here with this bug @Marc Stridgen, rather than create a new topic. This isn't via translation like Chris above as our website is English - this is showing when you have many events showing on the Browse By Month view.
  18. Thanks @sound, however I'm trying to not touch custom css as much as possible so it caters to as close as the product IPS offer. Whilst I'm happy to support your suggestion, i'm also realistic - I'm trying to focus on the most needed fix to the newest code deployed as I know we can't get every little change possible. I've wanted the RSVP ability to auto switched on for a long time now but I can handle that abit easier as i've tried my best to educate our community on how events worked for the past 4-5 years. I don't believe I can even toggle off the 'Online Events' section either on the overview so as you can see, trying to work out an overall workaround is proving difficult.
  19. I'm hoping after the recent release there is some form of Hypercare or post-live support changes where we can make amendments to newly live functionality. We need the ability to toggle off one of the ways events can be made to stop unnecessary re-work from admins and mods correcting Events post creation. Ironically I had to re-work the existing Calendar function already into Events some years ago with Translation and used the physical addresses as the 'online' places people would get together. As we are a gaming family (and many here are too) this is more considered to be via platform/console rather than Zoom, or business calls. So we're now in a tough spot because I need to work out if we have to reverse engineer the options and words on the Events system because a user can select to make it an Online event easily (and logically they will) whereas actually its better to make it a 'physical' event because people like myself have updated the Physical addresses for the set virtual places people meet already. With an option to be able to toggle off Online or Physical Events in the small settings it has in the AdminCP, this would be the quick solution. I think there are better ways to implement a change but arguably take longer to code so I'm looking for that quick tactical fix like other companies do post launch. I feel a little sad as I don't like to be too critical of changes - I want my comments always to have a positive spin on them, even if there is some constructive feedback involved so we can keep moving forward. I feel with this change, it wasn't what anyone expected and with the ability/chance to give feedback earlier in the process I think these types of changes that feel common sense, could hopefully be avoided in the future on first release. Fingers crossed you can still make quick changes on this Overview as soon as possible. I've adapted our way of working over the years to the Calendar/Events and converted our members to understanding the way to still make it fun and engaging - I'm just trying to ensure we don't have to backtrack any further than necessary. Thanks in advance to anyone that can support this change.

  22. Hi @Adriano Faria, which IPS person can I tag to see where the pending version of this one is at all? I thought I double checked all of the plugins before upgrading to 4.7.3 but alas this one has triggered the compatibility marker and been disabled. Thanks for your help as always.

  24. Not sure how I didn't see you create this one @Adriano Faria, I've been using an old plugin here from Jimmo to show all content posts which looks exactly like this one. Installed yours now, as this detail is fantastic and helps drive engagement for each function - I can see it being more valuable than the standard Leaderboard that comes with IPS due to the options and detail this has. How can we see total Posts as a filter at all? This is probably the remaining function missing that can will allow me (and others) to make all these blocks stand out on a standalone page via Pages. Thanks for another great plugin Adriano.
  25. Hi @Matt and @Jordan Miller, this suggestion seems to have picked up some fantastic traction! Any thoughts on whether this could be part of the core in a soon-ish release at all? I'll obviously believe the 'Who Was Online' functionality is one which definitely would add significant value/enhancements to your block thats currently available out of the box. Thanks in advance! 🙂
