Can a sticky not be put in this forum? Every weekend people post this topic and it's clearly a stumbling block that many of your newest customers are unaware of (or not understanding in their excitement once they've bought the software). :)
I think adding this in big letters at time of ordering might help too :D
I am sure we would still get some people asking though as often threads are not read or information that is already on the main website isn't read ;) -
This could be done with Topic Multi-moderation within the Admin CP.
-
Being customizable by the member is needed as some members may or may not have the use for all the hooks :thumbsup:
-
Would be good to have as a customizable option :thumbsup:

As Josh already pointed out in another thread, this functionality will be back with 3.0.2.
Great news Brandon, thanks for the update :thumbsup: -
Thanks for that link however I actually just edited the xml file and changed...
$img_list->getListingData( array( 'st' => 0, 'show' => 6,
to...
$img_list->getListingData( array( 'st' => 0, 'show' => 5,
Didn't work for me that :(
I tried editing the gallery_images_board_index.xml file that gets imported and tried edting the boardIndexGalleryImages_????????????????????????????????.php file and then reaching the skin. Still at the top. -
Would be very handy indeed :thumbsup:

I'd like to see the option for it to be collapsible and be able to easily choose if it is to be where it is now, below the forums or on the sidebar
-
Please look at Disabling post reputation voting in certain forums to see what has been achieved as this would be great to have in as standard

@andy there was a really good smiles program i used to use that inserting the smilies into the topics for you (handled most forums bbcodes setting etc too, was all auto). has smilies or summit in the name but can't remember wot it was called... i know i'm useless
.
You lost me there Jaggi, sorry I don't know what this has to do with increasing the ability to give positive rep -
Oh! So Matt says it and you listen! I see how it is...
I shall go pout in the corner now. Woe is me, etc.
We love it when you pout Charles It brings out that side of you that we like to see once in a while -
I mentioned this before and would love to see it integrated

I apologize in advance as I do not have time to read seven pages of replies.
Having a lifetime license, I feel insulted that in order to use this service I have to give up my lifetime license and convert it into a "standard license". I feel that this tactic is shameful, and dishonorable. On the other hand I do understand it takes resources to run a server for this, and there are costs involved. That is why I feel that if you need to exclude lifetime/perpetual license holders (which perpetual do pay support fees too), then you should exclude all license holders and establish a low monthly fee to the service. As you pointed out, this is a debate of apples and oranges. It's a separate optional service for IP.Board, thus it should be treated as such.
They are not asking you to give up your lifetime licence and are working out how they can offer this service to those with Lifetime/Perpetual licence holders aswell as Standard licence holders -
Thanks Charles :D

There are limitations, namely you can only hook into the software at places it monitors the hooks at.
It's not necessarily *easier* to use hooks for the developer. It is for the user, however, which is the main goal. Hooks are retained during upgrades, and don't require the person installing to do code-level modifications to make use of a hook.
Yes I understand that it's easier for the user which is the main thing :D
IPB 3.0.3 is released!
