Here is a printscreen from my ACP that shows "Only within clubs" and yet the issue still exists. Note: we use the term 'Groups' for the Clubs application. That is just semantics.

Okay, so what you have explained makes perfect sense. Open and joined would see the events in both locations. I will submit a bug issue for this. Of course, with my reputation, the support staff will immediately ask me to upgrade to the 4.7.17 from 4.7.16 and disable all plugins and applications before they are willing to check. Maybe after I post the bug, could you try the issue yourself as a test and then give a 'happens to me too' for some support?

@BN_IT_Support Thanks for the idea. I did check by logging in as another member who has not joined any club. The club event I created is still visible to that member, both on the club page and on the main event application page. 1. This member has not joined any club. 2. All the clubs are open. So I'm not sure if the second criteria you stated works or not:

If that is true, then why even have events in the clubs for public or open. It is just the same thing as creating an event in Events. This isn't directed at you @ghinton , it is a question for IPS support. Ah, finally found it and the fine print says: That does not specifically say events one way or another.

Where do we look in the ACP to find the permission you describe? I looked in the ACP for forums and I checked settings under Forums and could find nothing that you describe. Then I checked the permissions for a given forum, again, I found nothing. If you could, please relay the exact acp steps to find this "Show Club Content Areas."

This is just a general question about the 3.34 database. I was looking up a new registration we received from Spain. Many Spanish people have four names. I looked at what I thought was the right section of database, ibf_core_members and the registration wasn't there. Then I looked at ibf_members and I found the registration. What is/was the function of ibf_core_members? Think of this post as historical curiosity and not asking for help because then you would say we don't offer help for 3.3.4.

Hi - On our 4.7.16 devsite, I was looking at the events tab for one of our groups (you call them clubs). I had enabled the upcoming event block for the Events application but I was surprised to see the same block in one of our groups (clubs for you). See attached screen. I tried to edit the block by selecting the Everywhere except groups (which I assume you mean clubs) and yet the block is still visible. Is this a bug? I don't want to display the general upcoming events block in each of our groups (clubs for you). Thanks, Brian

if we enable a closed system in 4.7, does that mean that in the upgrade to v5, all the tags will already be created in content discovery > tags?

Hi Molly, I' m still using our devsite to test things in 4.7 and I looked at your page. I went ahead and added an activity stream on our events page and inputted a date selection of last year and for me, it shows all events this year, including a future event, and you're right, the chronological order is weirdly off: Aug 15 2024 May 18 2024 Mar 21 2024 Feb 18 2024 Mar 28 2024 I like your layout of the events page with the event slider! Ah, hmmm well wouldn't it be more user friendly to mark with a label that says 'new?' Unless you have a super keen eye, it might seem less than obvious.

I follow this board mainly with the 'unread content' activity stream. I'm surprised no one has commented on this weird topic title font issue. Most of the topic titles displayed in the stream are the standard size but a few are almost double for the entire topic. Is this a result of some setting for a particular forum?

Just now rereading this as we get closer to the 4.7 upgrade. In the disposable email section, why this option: " Register the account but immediately ban it" What are the benefits of doing that? Does it facilitate or automatically ban an email domain?

Hi - Back to testing 4.7.12 on the devsite and I am playing with creating events in Calendar. I have tried a number of different sizes for the cover photo shown here but nothing seems to properly fit. I even used Meaure It to calculate the height of the area, 200 px, and then resize and image to those dimensions but it still doesn't work. What have others done to properly fit an image without losing most of it in the drag to where you want it mode? Thanks for any thoughts! Brian

I found the guide about venue and I added the sample venue of Buckingham Palace, as well as the location I would like to add, The Old Joinery, Ravensbourne Wharf, Norman Road, Greenwich SE10 9QF United Kindgom. Here are images of the venue settings and the resulting calendar display. I am using 4.7.12 devsite testing. Whether I select Buckingham Palace or The Old Joinery, I still get this same display, in terms of no Google Map. Why isn't the Google Map displaying?

@Jim MI was watching this topic and this attached file caught me by surprise. I am using our devsite which is still on 4.7.12. My installation doesn't show this: "Action to take for disposable emails" Is that a change after 4.7.12?

Yes, opening invisioncommunity.com took about 7 seconds and then the same for opening unread activity, and still more when I clicked on this topic. oh wait, after I typed the reply and hit save, it took 21 seconds to process.
