  1. A new version has been uploaded to the marketplace. Changes include: Inline notifications after newsletter distribution threw an error. Fixed. Fixed several bugs related to scheduling the next distribution date. Changed scheduled task to run hourly (instead of daily) to give a more accurate publish time.
  2. Oh... ok. I'll have to change the task to run hourly instead of daily, that's the closest I can get. We actually do not have control over the time that a scheduled task will run, only how often it does. IPS decides the time. So if I make it run hourly, it will send out closer to your scheduled time.
  3. I saw, I have not yet had time to look into it. I will, though. Yes. In addition to the standard content types, like "latest topics", you also have "manual content", which is basically an editor where you can enter anything you like. A banner ad should work. You can also configure the header and footer areas of the newsletter, and a banner ad could be placed there as well.
  4. You can customize the template for gallery to allow that. I intentionally do not provide specific templates for different content types because the code is written to handle any item you throw at it. If I start customizing, there will be no end. I don't have any integration with 3rd party plugins. Emails that have the "send me email" flag disabled are skipped. Unsubscribe is not included in the test because it's dependent on the newsletter issue. Issues are not generated until a publish. No. First newsletter will go out on the 14th, like it says... that might be a bug. I'll look into it.
  5. 1) Yes. 2) templates are not newsletters. A template is just a wrapper. You create one newsletter, define the activity you want to include (e.g. recent topics, latest articles), then you schedule it to go out monthly and never think about it again. 3) Yes.
  6. A new version has been uploaded to the Marketplace. Changes include: Deleting a newsletter threw an error. Fixed. Distribution via SparkPost placed a "hi {{member_name}}" in the email instead of the member's name. Fixed. Thank you @NoGi for assisting me in troubleshooting these issues.
  7. AHA! And now I think I know the problem. Pretty sure this is an IPS bug (which I will report) but I can work around it. As a test, can you switch the newsletter to use SMTP and see if it works? You should be able to do this in the newsletter settings.
  8. Are you by any chance using SparkPost?
  9. Same effort..... it would be the same html in one place instead of another. Maybe try it?
  10. You rearrange questions within a collection (because they can't really be displayed outside of one). Go into a collection to manage the questions and you should be able to reorder them.
  11. Oh. No. I thought you were talking about the display. You could have separate fields for each of those when you create the topic and then have the post formatted that way in display (which is really the end goal anyway, isn't it).
  12. It's fully customizable, you can display it any way you want.
  13. Why would you want the editor to have content that could be erased? This is better. You give the users fields to populate with the information you are looking for. Example: you could have a text field where the users enter the make and model of their car. And then it would display in the post. It's the same thing you want, but more reliable and flexible.
  14. I don't think that would matter. I'm not working this weekend but let me give it another shot next week.
  15. Yes. Haven't given up yet, I just don't have a fix yet.
  16. I'm still not able to reproduce it....
  17. That IS what this is. Except the ability to disable the editor. I'm not sure why this isn't what you were expecting? Just that one feature (which I will add eventually, it's just not so simple), but aside from that, that's what this does - allows you to actually add a template to new topics in specified forums.
  18. I can't reproduce that. When I publish I get the member name populated correctly.... what version of IPS? Also, is this with a publish or a test distribution?
  19. So you mean the "template" dropdown is set to empty? It's using the IPS wrapper?
  20. Where are you entering {{member_name}}? That doesn't look right...
  21. I don't have samples because I don't have an actual site. But I can tell you that the layout is 100% customizable, so you can show anything you want any way you want to.
  22. It will send via email, whenever you schedule it to go out.
  23. #1 - it already works like this. That's what the "Default Groups" setting is for when you edit the newsletter. #2 - in theory you could copy the IPS template and use it to create a new template. There isn't really anything for me to do here, you just need to copy/paste. #3 - It already works like this. See my comment on #1.
  24. A new version has been pushed to the marketplace. Changes include: Multiple custom content templates did not work (only the first was used). Fixed
