Not sure if anyone already posted about this, but I'd like to point out some issues with Members Shop and Downloads and request a fix.

1. If you have files set to where they can be purchased with points from Members Shop, when you visit a page for a file in the Downloads section, even if you don't have enough points to download the file, or even if you have 0 points, the button still says 'Download this file'. Is there any way that the button could show different text, or even a red button if they don't have enough points to download the file to begin with?
2. If someone does not have enough points to download a file, but they still click the 'Download this file' button, they will see my terms that I wrote first, then they click the 'Agree & Download' button, then they get the message 'You don't have enough Points to download this file'. So if something can be done, as I mentioned in 1., then this would save from people getting frustrated from having gone through those steps. ALSO, even though they weren't able to download the file, under File Information on the file's page, it still counts it as a download. So the 'Downloads' count increases even though they didn't actually download the file.
As a test, I got to the 'You don't have enough Points to download this file'. page, I kept refreshing that page, and it counted each time as download.

Now I want to try and figure out how to hide the 'Downloads' part under 'File Information' since it severely incorrect. If anyone know how to do this, please let me know.

v3.1.3 has been submitted for approval with the following included:
NEW: "Hide content in a topic's first post" now applied when viewing search results, as I identified a differentiation between a topic's first post and its comments/replies. FIX: Topics in a Q/A forum no longer trigger an error when viewed (see note below) FIX: Tweaks to the hiding of images in quotes when the viewer is not allowed to see that content FIX: "Convert images to links within quotes" setting now works correctly for viewers who are allowed to see the content Note: the fix I have put in for Q&A forum topics means that, temporarily, the 'Limit number of replies shown' setting will not be applied to those topics. I'll put a change in place for that in a future version.

I honestly do hope things are ok for TheJackal with whatever he has been dealing with in his personal life. I had a point back in the late 2000's when I was personally dealing with depression, and I had simply abandoned my website, and eventually lost it and and the domain name, since I had failed to re-register it. So I understand how things can get. Hopefully it is nothing as serious.

Regarding all of his plugins, it would be nice to know there is a contingency plan, in case TheJackal decides one day that he can no longer maintain supporting all of his plugins. Possibly there is another developer he can connect with that could take over some if not all of his plugins?

Hello all - it's been quite a while since I have been on here but I am finding my way back in to the wild now. I've had some issues with my eyes which has severely impacted my ability to do pretty much anything screen related but we've got this under control over the last few months and I've recently been given the OK to get back to my proper day job (I work in IT) as long as I take proper rests instead of ignoring what my head is telling me it needs.
Just want to update on what I've got planned for this plugin - it has being converted to an application, which is currently being used live on my own site, and I'm hoping to release it very soon.
 

Most likely, you do not want to use SQL sockets with a MySQL database that's on a separate server. This will not work unless you're doing something that's rather atypical.
You'll want to verify that the external MySQL server is configured to accept connections from your server (by default, MySQL only accepts connections on the same server), and that you've entered in the correct IP address under sql_host in conf_global.php.
For testing purposes, you can use the mysql command from the Unix shell on your web server to verify that you can establish a connection like this:
mysql -h <IP_ADDRESS_OF_EXTERNAL_MYSQL_SERVER> -u <INVISION_MYSQL_USER> -D <INVISION_DATABASE_NAME> -p You will be prompted for the password for the SQL account. Replace <IP_ADDRESS_OF_EXTERNAL_MYSQL_SERVER> with the IP address of your external server (sql_host), <INVISION_MYSQL_USER> with the SQL username you configured for Invision (sql_user), and <INVISION_DATABASE_NAME> with the name of the database (sql_database). The password you'll provide is the one configured for your Invision SQL account (sql_pass).

I know what you mean - that is the "original link"
It's up to you what you do with the CSS - just target the new 'neavplayer' class (just added in v1.1.1) in your custom.css to do what you want with it.
 

I can show you the code that the link takes but it's nothing to do with the plugin at all. The plugin will take this out if 'Display original link' is disabled, and do nothing to the link if the setting is enabled.
It's simply the default link that is is put in by IPS when you add an attachment.

If I do any further development on the plugin then I can pop an additional class in to the link that you can then target if you wished to only change links for audio/video files.

Why are you charging more than your usual $5 for your plugin? Development of this plugin took longer than others, and I envisage future development and support will be time consuming too. Will the plugin be extended to work on other applications in the IPS suite? I will try to develop it to work within the Pages application, however other applications will be more difficult due to me not owning licenses to use them. Never say never, but for now it's a 'No'
