Hi IPS,

As per title, when you will add a file download based on LINK from sites like https://mega.nz/ or other similar the file name will become similar to this:

Can you add optional field allowing to set file name displayed in download? For links based file downloads. If filled then display the name, otherwise ignore. PLEASE.

@Matt Hey, sorry tagging but can you make sure this improvement will be addressed within next maintenance release? PLEASE.

From one side it is improvement, from other side it is issue as not all link types are supported, only direct ones where file name presents in URL.

This is something that is a change to the software rather than a bug. Please bear in mind we are very busily working on version 5 release, so its very very unlikely we are going to add something new to the v4 product within a week (2 of those 3 weeks since you posted, nobody has been present)

I understand, however many download sites now days do not offer direct links where file name would be in the URL directly, so it makes URLs file uploads usage a bit limited. That would require to add one extra field beside link itself: name, if filled would list the record under the name. I trust you will find time for that 😄

@Marc I saw plenty of new stuff in upcoming maintenance update. Find a room for that simple extra field for URL based downloads 😄 PLEASE

As I mentioned above, we would not rush in changes to software within a week. Please bear in mind that .20 may well have already been finalised and tested even before your request, and not all requests will make the final release.
