Community- Posted January 19 Share Posted January 19 Some of our members are seeing a 'Complete your profile' page asking for their display name and password when trying to access our site but when i go to the ACP under the profile setting there is nothing there under the profile completion page. Jim M Posted January 19 Share Posted January 19 If the users were imported or you are using an external site to create users, whether that's through an SSO or API, if they are missing a display name or password, the system will prompt them when logging in as this is require information. Community- Posted January 19 Author Share Posted January 19 @Jim M We are using an external site to create users, however some of our members notified us (after already creating an invision profile) they are still seeing this page. You would need to check how those are created and how they are logging in. It sounds like you're creating a new user again so it would be true that they couldn't use that display name again. We have been able to resolve the initial issue, but now when folks register through invision directly, their first and last name appear in the forums, not their display name. That is how the software works by default 🙂 . If you incorrectly did this previously with a third party login provider/api or the user inserted their actual name as their display name, the system was instructed to show that as their display name.
