OsmanK Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 I think the built-in Lightbox view falls short in some situations. To enhance the user experience, I propose the adoption of PhotoSwipe, which is a free and feature-rich alternative. PhotoSwipe provides users with fast and smooth transitions between images, offering a more interactive experience. Additionally, features like zooming and dragging allow users to examine images in more detail. This change will make the visual content on our website more appealing and user-friendly. With the IC 5 update, could there be an evaluation of replacing the built-in Lightbox view with PhotoSwipe? License It comes with an MIT license, allowing free usage for personal or commercial projects. For more information and to explore the details of PhotoSwipe, you can visit the PhotoSwipe Official Website. Meris4x4, konon, Gill and 5 others 5 3
Donnie95 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 (edited) The current lightbox is not mobile-friendly. I often end up opening the images instead of tapping on the next/previous button. Swipe gesture would be much better. Edited January 25 by Donnie95 Gill, Dreadknux and Maxxius 1 2
Gill Posted January 25 Posted January 25 (edited) 100% agree, some time lightbox open images in new tab instead of showing next image. User experience much better with photoswipe Edited January 25 by Gill
Joel R Posted February 8 Posted February 8 Agreed. Lightbox on desktop looks nice. Lightbox on mobile is annoying. Hoping ehren can improve the UIX of browsing images.
