Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Thomas Hop Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 We experience a problem with spam, lot's of old accounts suddenly post Telegram/Crypto spam. It looks like this is from a data breach with e-mails+passwords. A solution would be to add a Google Captcha to the login form. Is this possible with the current captcha settings? I looks like we only can do this for registration.
Gary Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 Hi @Thomas Hop, We are definitely aware this is happening on some communities, and we have a topic where others are discussing some solutions you may look at implementing.
SeNioR- Posted January 19, 2023 Posted January 19, 2023 (edited) It's probably something much bigger. This doesn't just apply to forums. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/nortonlifelock-warns-that-hackers-breached-password-manager-accounts/ 28 minutes ago, Thomas Hop said: Is this possible with the current captcha settings? It's not currently possible, but I agree, it would be useful (with separate on/off settings). Edited January 19, 2023 by SeNioR-
Thomas Hop Posted January 19, 2023 Author Posted January 19, 2023 Thanks! But on the question, is there Google Captcha for logins in Invision? Then for bots it less easy to try logins on the forum.
