hpcrazy Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 Hello, I have a problem or question about the email settings. I have quit a lot of users and for most everything works fine on my site but for some users the automatic emails from my site get rejected by there email provider and the mails get marked as spam or get rejected. I already made SPF entry on my DNS which altered the problem a bit but still like on 2% of new registrations I get rejected emails. I am using smtp plaintext to send automatic emails. Is there anything more I can do to prevent the described problem ? Thanks for the help in forward.
Randy Calvert Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 This is something your hosting provider will need to assist with as that is most likely either a reputation issue or a mail configuration issue. As long as the software can get the request to your mail server, IPB loses insight to what happens after that. FYI… IPB does support integration with other mail providers such as Sendgrid. You could also arrange for another company to deliver mail for you by utilizing SMTP delivery instead of php mail.
Solution Marc Posted October 28, 2022 Solution Posted October 28, 2022 As mentioned above, you would need to contact your email host about the issue you are having there. You may find sites like mxtoolbox can help you with assessing email deliverability
