Muhammad Nadeem Posted April 1, 2022 Posted April 1, 2022 i am unable to find add new theme button nor find upload theme tab. using version 4.6.11. “In the AdminCP, navigate to Customization -> Themes. Click the Add Theme button, and then the Upload Theme tab. Select the xml file for your theme from your computer.“ Instead when i click In the AdminCP, navigate to Customization -> Themes. Create New >> Manual Upload and while uploading getting error Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator at webmaster@********* to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. What is wrong?
Muhammad Nadeem Posted April 2, 2022 Author Posted April 2, 2022 Today i am trying now it give error saying Sorry! The page you requested does not exist please note that whether i try marketplace theme or paid from ipfocus in both cases getting same error. How to resolve this issue.
Solution Jim M Posted April 2, 2022 Solution Posted April 2, 2022 You would need to check what the internal server error is there. Internal server errors are very much like the check engine light on your car. It says something is wrong but not what or where. Please have your hosting provider provide the error log entry for this particular error and we can provide further guidance if it is not a hosting issue. The page does not exist error may be related to mod_security blocking something on your server or a missing file. Please check first with your hosting provider to see if mod_security is enabled and then temporarily disable it to test.
Muhammad Nadeem Posted April 2, 2022 Author Posted April 2, 2022 Thanks its working now after disabling mod_security. Let me know should mod_security continue to be disabled or else. What is software requirement.
Randy Calvert Posted April 2, 2022 Posted April 2, 2022 It does not need to be disabled but you would need to evaluate what mod_security rules were blocking the request and tune the rules to not block IPB. Blocking a legitimate request is known as a “false positive”. IPS cannot assist with the tuning of your firewall (mod_security in this case). Instead that’s something you would have to do yourself or with your hosting provider.
