Reduce size of "our picks" block

Is there a way to customize the size of our picks block? It takes most of the above the fold, is it possible to make them shorter? Also, is it posible to change the name from "Our picks" to "Top Stories" for example?

Sorry, there are no ways to change the size of the Our Picks block without a theme customization. Theme customizations would be outside our scope of support but I can move this topic to the Community Support forum where you can receive support from fellow admins, if you would like?

Editing the title of the block would require changing the language string as there is no edit field for this in the current software.
