Lindor Posted October 28, 2021 Posted October 28, 2021 Hi, I'm adding some text in pages and I cant adjust the advanced options and css for WYSIWYG Editor, so this content is showd with general page background. This is an issue or only can edit this advanced settings by css code editing the template? I add some pics to view this advanced menu in 2 editors. Thanks a lot. Jalal arefen and Justin Scott 1 1
Solution Marc Posted October 29, 2021 Solution Posted October 29, 2021 You would only see the "Source" button in the editor, if you have the "Can use HTML" option selected for you group. At present it seems you do not have this permission, so you would need to edit your group to gain this Jalal arefen 1
Lindor Posted October 29, 2021 Author Posted October 29, 2021 Thanks @Marc Stridgen for your indication, I change the HMTL option for admins but I don't need this. I need the Advanced options to edit global adjusts for this block. Justin Scott 1
Marc Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 Those however are 2 different blocks. The advanced item is on the page builder text block, not the WYSIWYG block.
Lindor Posted October 29, 2021 Author Posted October 29, 2021 Sorry @Marc Stridgen, so I dont understand, the WYSIWYG block should be more easy to config and adjust than simple text block. Are you saying that I need to edit HTML code to adjust the WYSIWYG block format? It is a contradiction or I dont understand the concept for this. I try in other pages and if I add the WYSIWYG block in subscription page appears with box format by default, so for every page the aspect is aleatory? Justin Scott 1
Marc Posted October 29, 2021 Posted October 29, 2021 Actually to the contrary. "WYSIWYG" by very definition is intended to be used only via the editor. The Page builder block is a text block which has further formatting options Lindor 1

It is a contradiction or I dont understand the concept for this. It is indeed not possible to achieve what you would like to have without HTML and CSS knowledge. WYSIWYG comes with its formatting (e. g. without ipsBox and without ipsPadding). Page Builder: Text requires HTML knowledge to add more than text into it. That's it. I have tried to create a nice widget displayed in ipsBox, with background image, some text AND a link. If you do not have HTML knowledge, you will fail. I have never found a workaround for this simple task in IPS for someone without HTML knowledge. You have several workaround solutions: Create a Page Builder: Text and format a text with HTML markup Try to format a single WYSIWYG widget by selecting the page and a widget via CSS selector and adding CSS to custom.css Other solutions would involve developing plugin or application. Lindor Posted October 29, 2021 Author Posted October 29, 2021 Thanks @Marc Stridgen and @Sonya*. I've html and css knowledge but I think that not is the right way to adjust the global WYSIWYG block settings. I will make that I need with html and css. Thanks again for your answers and time. Marc 1
