Jack Corsellis Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 (edited) I have a paid/locked down forum and as part of this forum, I offer daily 30 min calls to my members which are recorded The call recordings are currently manually uploaded to my learning platform Thinkific but I would like to automate this through Zapier. Unfortunately Thinkific doesn't support zaps and so I am wondering whether to leverage the downloads functionality of Invision community instead (which does support zaps). The idea would be to upload the videos to download folder in Invision community. Members would be able to view these and download them but NOT be able to upload to this area. is this feasible with the downloads functionality of Invision community and what it is intended for? thanks Edited January 2, 2021 by Jack Corsellis
bfarber Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 Yes, that's entirely feasible. You can adjust permissions on a per-category basis (there is no requirement to have more than one category either if you don't want) to control who can add files, who can download files, who can view files, and so on. Joel R Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 This is very doable with the permissions system of Downloads: It'll also give you greater control over all of your content, hosted directly on your community site. Members can follow the files for notifications, get updates if new versions are posted, etc. Jack Corsellis 1
