Management Solution Matt Posted August 21, 2020 Management Solution Posted August 21, 2020 How are you building this page? Are you using the uploader to upload the video files? If so, check: ACP > Settings > Posting > General to make sure "Allowed File Types" is set correctly. If you are using Pages, check the custom field has "Upload Type" set correctly.
bfarber Posted August 21, 2020 Posted August 21, 2020 If you upload or link a video in a post it will embed automatically if the user viewing the page can play that video. Some user agents may be able to play certain types of videos but not others, and this is detected automatically and the video will be embedded if it can be played.
Drewfus Posted August 21, 2020 Author Posted August 21, 2020 I did not use the uploader because it has a 5mb limit and will not upload on version 4.4.10 but I check all settings again.
Drewfus Posted August 22, 2020 Author Posted August 22, 2020 I have installed the beta to test the upload media in pages and how dose it exactly work and how do I link the upload to the video https://mydomain/upload/video.mp4 is this how its done?
bfarber Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 If you upload a video in the Pages media manager and then want to use it in a post, you would need to use the "Source" mode on the editor (meaning your group needs permission to post HTML) in order to post the appropriate HTML. If you upload a video to a post it will embed automatically, but if you want to embed a remote link as a video you will need to do so manually.
