Is there a way to move topic replies to Download comments?

I'm reorganizing my site a bit and I wish to move quite a number of replies to Download files' comments section. Is there a way to achieve it somehow?

Back in the day I had many topics discussing certain files and later Downloads came along. But there were lots of good posts so I kept those topics. Would be great if I could move them into comment section of each download.

With a plugin, yes.

I came here with a similar question seeking a similar answer.

I have topics I would like to merge with a file in Downloads or the other way around, move Downloads posts to a new or existing topic.

Any ideas?
