Fallback meta tags?

Hi,

I notice that there is no description or anything, for the frontend of my forum. Topics have it, how would I make a 'fallback' so when there is no meta tag, i.e description - it would fallback to something?

 

 

The meta tag system allows me to do this, but it would override absolutely all existing tags it seems.

You wouldn't usually create a "fallback" meta tag set - you would simply customize the pages that need to be customized. i.e. you can add custom meta tags to your community index without overriding anything else.
