Batch import for Downloads

I would like to upload approximately 400 files to my IP Board. Each file needs its own Downloads record entry.

Is there a way to batch import these Downloads, or do they have to be uploaded one by one by hand?

I too have wondered about if this is possible - or could you have a script that scans a folder and writes the entries into the tables related to Downloads?

Of course, that wouldn't solve your metadata problem (all the other stuff that goes with each download)

You'd have to do a second pass where the filename would be the key to insert the metadata

Allow multiple uploads - this is a group permission that will allow you (or other users in a group of your choice) to upload multiple files and create multiple new download records.  You'll be able to still edit each file before submitting.  

Import files from filesystem - this is another option.
