If you want to allow moderators to ban then:

Moderator permissions:

  • Can ban members from topics?
  • Can unban members from topics?
  • Can view list of banned members from a topic?

It’s all there in file description and in screenshots.

I can see the Ban Management icon. When I click it and, one option appears (click 'Ban Member') and I get the following message:

There are no members that can be banned from this topic  @Adriano Faria

You don’t need to reply and mention my name. I’m already notified with the reply.

Whenever the topic is huge, and it has many replied from members, the page doesn't load any more.

Which page? The popup with members who posted in the topic? How many replies are you talking about?

I will replace the field that lists all posters by a member field where you will type the member name. I’ll do that when the topic has more than X replies.

EDIT: I just tested in a topic with 376 replies and 142 different posters and worked fine. I'll do what I said above.

Ok, that's how I'm doing it now.

<= 100 replies will remain as it is today:

>= 100 replies => you will inform the member to ban:

And it checks the current status:

Will send this version via PM so you can test it out before I release it.

The new update works very fine.

Anyone know the legalities of using a plugin such as this please?

If you're running a private forum, you can moderate it as you see fit.  There are no expectations of "free speech" rights in such a scenario (not that people won't scream about them anyway).

Hey @Adriano Faria quick question. I had to ban two members from a topic cause they were non-stop fighting.

One sent me this message which brings up an interesting point:

If I’m banned from a post, stop sending me notifications from the post please. Or just unblock me from the post since my name is apparently a hot commodity on the thread

Is this possible - to stop sending them notifications from that post after they're banned? No worries if not. Just curious.
