Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Barry Richmond Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 Is there any way I can ban a used but NOT ban the list of IP addresses they use? I'm having to manually work my way through 27 pages of banned IPs that got listed when I banned ONE user. It is causing havoc with everyone else as I am now getting reports from all over the country from people who are logging in to find that they are banned...but they are not.
Nathan Explosion Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 When banning a user, the IP address list provided needs user involvement to select to ban them.....so next time someone is banned, ensure that the IP addresses are not being selected.
bfarber Posted January 15, 2019 Posted January 15, 2019 The answer to your question is "yes". In fact, the software does not ban the IP addresses inherently when you ban a user, as Nathan Explosion points out.
